DAY 1 USA - IRELAND
Fly transatlantic overnight to Ireland. Dinner is served and in-flight entertainment is provided.
DAY 2 - ARRIVE IN IRELAND
Welcome to Ireland. Upon arrival, you are met by Chamber Discoveries staff and transferred to your Villa at the 5-star Castlemartyr, which is located in a picturesque Irish village. This castle hotel has earned the 5-star honor by consistently providing the highest possible standards of service and facilities in Ireland’s most breathtaking setting. DAY 3 FOYNES - THE CLIFFS OF MOHER
This morning enjoy a visit to the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, which recalls early days of flying during the 1930’s and early 1940’s. Here you’ll also see displays of memorabilia from that era and walk through a reconstructed Pan Am Clipper. This afternoon continue onto the Cliffs of Moher where magical vistas await. The Cliffs are 200 yards high at the highest point and span for 6 miles along the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O’Brien’s Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins and the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara. (B)
DAY 4 - CASTLEMARTYR
Today you are free to explore on your own. Enjoy a stroll through the grounds of Castlemartyr, or you may wish to visit Waterford. A natural playground for Arts and shopping enthusiasts, Waterford City makes for an interesting visit. Enjoy the visit to the House of Waterford Crystal to see how molten glass is transformed into elegant tableware and magnificent trophies and browse around the shop and showrooms. Sophisticated fashion stores and high quality craft centres complete a day that is sure to please. (B)
DAY 5 - RING OF KERRY
Today embark on Ireland’s most popular scenic drive, the Ring of Kerry. This winding route reveals breathtaking sights of the Macgillycuddy’s Reeks as well as coastal views of beaches and cliffs. As you travel along, there will be plenty of stops for photos at the best vantage points. Drive through the village of Cahirciveen and cross to Valencia Island by bridge. Visit the Skellig Experience to learn about the nearby rocky islands where early Christian monks lived in austere conditions and today they form a thriving bird sanctuary. Stop to walk around Sneem, where brightly-painted houses are grouped around a central green. Pause at Moll’s Gap for a view of the Three Lakes of Killarney with the town in the distance. (B)
DAY 6 - CASHEL - KILKENNY
Today you will depart for the small town of Cashel where you will pause to visit the unforgettable "Rock of Cashel." The dramatic limestone rock crowned with secular and religious buildings dominates the flat countryside for miles around. Travel onwards to historic Kilkenny. In medieval times this was a prosperous trading center and the narrow streets still follow ancient routes. Visit Kilkenny Castle, built in the 13th century, home to the powerful Butler family for almost 600 years. (B,D)
DAY 7 - CASTLEMARTYR
Day at leisure. Perhaps take the time to Explore the 220 acres of parkland at Castlemartyr, or Take an optional trip to Blarney Castle where you can kiss the Blarney Stone for luck! (B)
DAY 8 IRELAND - USA
Farewell to Castlemartyr and Ireland. Transfer to the airport, where, after check-in, you will have plenty of time for your last minute duty free shopping. Your flight to the US arrives the same day. (B)
