Why purchase a Travel Protection Plan?

We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect your trip investment and yourself while traveling.  Travel insurance provides valuable coverage for things like trip cancellation, trip interruption, emergency medical / medical evaluation, lost or delayed baggage…and much more. This plan is very affordable & flexible. 

Did you know...

For less than 5% of the cost of your trip, you can protect yourself in an emergency!

• If you can't travel because you or a family member has a medical emergency, travel insurance will cover the total cost of your trip (up to the amount of insurance you purchased).

• If you lose your job and cannot travel, travel insurance will reimburse the cost of your trip!

• Travel Insurance covers expenses (airline rebooking fees, hotel, transportation, and meals) related to delays (more than 5 hours) cauased by cancelled/delayed flights.

• If your luggage is lost, stolen, damaged or delayed for more than 12 hours, travel insurance will cover costs.

We strongly recommend that you cover your entire trip cost.
However, this plan allows you to purchase cost departure ONLY coverage. Refer to option 2 below.

HOW TO ENROLL: First click on the Enroll Now button on the left. You will be asked your state of residency, your departure date, your return date, the number of travelers in your household, each travelers age, and each travelers trip cost; after which you will need to hit the "Get Quote Button". Next you will see the cost of the insurance for all of the parties on your policy along with the Travel Select benefit levels. Scroll to the bottom, and hit the green "Buy" button. Provide the requested information, and follow the prompts to complete enrollment.

1. Option #1 - Full coverage: For full coverage including trip cancellation / interruption up to your trip cost, as well as the on-trip coverage input each person's actual full trip cost when requested above.

2. Option #2 – On-trip coverage: If you would like to simply purchase on-trip coverage you can enjoy all the post-departure benefits of the plan + $1,000 of trip interruption coverage. Simply input $0 when asked for your trip cost in the enrollment process above.

If budget is the reason you have not purchased the insurance, you may want to consider the post-departure insurance coverage option. Travel ex has an option where you can purchase $0 of trip cancellation insurance and still receive all of the other benefits for very reasonable prices (for someone 35-59 years old, the cost is only $31).
