Having this coverage in place provides our travelers with “peace of mind” while traveling.

Why Purchase Additional Trip Cancellation Coverage?

We strongly recommend that you purchase the additional trip cancellation to protect your trip investment and yourself while traveling to protect the “unforeseen” circumstances that may cause you to cancel your trip for medical reasons, or to care for a sick family member and receive a refund on your trip costs. This plan is very affordable & flexible.


Our Group Trip Cancellation Policy Includes:

Trip Cancellation: Amount of non-refundable prepaid expenses up to 100% of the amount of coverage you select. ($15,000 limit)

Trip Interruption: Amount of non-refundable prepaid expenses up to 150% of the amount of coverage you select. ($22,500 limit)

Trip delay: $1,000 ($250/day)

Missed Connection: $1,000

Baggage & Personal Effects/Baggage Delay: $1,500 /

Emergency Medical and Dental: $25,000

• Pre-existing condition waiver, simply purchase this plan by the time you make your “final” payment for the trip (as noted on your trips brochure).

• Bankruptcy protection means you are eligible to file a claim in the event one of our suppliers including airlines and cruise lines stops service.

Top Reasons to Buy Travel Insurance

Life is unpredictable. Some trips need to be cancelled.
With travel insurance, travelers don't necessarily have to pay for a trip they are unable to take.

Millions of bags are delayed, damaged, or stolen annually.
Travelex can provide coverage to replace needed items right away.

Credit card coverage may not provide sufficient coverage for travel.
Most credit cards don't provide comprehensive coverage that travel insurance offers and, often, only takes effect if you purchase the entire trip on the credit card. Another consideration is they typically do not provide medical insurance.

Travel insurance can provide peace of mind - especially for travel outside the United States, where many hospitals request cash payments in the thousands before treatment can even begin.

Health insurance may not go the distance.
The majority of U.S. health insurance policies (including Medicare and Medicaid) don't cover international travel. And, those that do will likely not cover the cost of medical evacuation back to the U.S. which can cost more than $50,000.

Lost or forgotten medication?
Travel insurance can provide assistance to assist you in locating a pharmacy to purchase a new prescription.

In the event of an emergency, airlines are not required to refund a ticket.
It's ultimately the airline's decision whether a traveler's situation warrants a full refund of the ticket cost. Most times however, airlines will merely offer a credit voucher (the original purchase price minus a penalty fee) towards future travel.

Flight delays can add up.
It is not the airline's responsibility to cover costs associated with delayed flights or refund money due to missed connections. Travel insurance can reimburse you for costs associated with these, including rebooking fees, meals and accommodations.


How to Enroll

Contact your Chamber Discoveries Operations Manager for details, or simply complete the Insurance Brochure paperwork (which will be provided to you with your initial Welcome Materials for any trip you book with Chamber Discoveries) and mail to Chamber Discoveries with the appropriate payment (made payable to Chamber Discoveries) and we will handle the rest on your behalf. Confirmation of Coverage will be provided to you by your Chamber Discoveries Operations Manager upon receipt of your payment.
